Shannon Kole is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) and certified dog walker. She is a Graduate of Gail Fisher’s All Dogs Academy and John Rogerson’s 20-day Dog Trainer Course (where she earned the honor of “Trainer of the Week”). She is a member of both the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT) and the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC) and also holds a dog first aid certification from the American Red Cross.
Additionally, Shannon is a graduate of the only professional dog walking certification course in the States, dog∗tec’s intensive Dog Walking Academy. She is trained in canine first aid, pack management, canine communication and body language, safety and fight protocols, advanced recalls, leash manners, trail etiquette, and other topics essential to responsible dog walking.
Before launching The Dog Digs, Shannon was a qualified actuary, performing financial analysis and insurance risk assessments at a large corporation. Actuarial work calls for keen analytical and problem solving skills, and precisely these abilities make Shannon such an effective dog trainer. Canine behavior can be changed quickly and for the long term — if you apply insight, skill, and consistency.
Shannon recently moved to Colorado with her Great Dane, Kiara, and is offering her expert training services to dog owners in the Denver area.
